Every week It’s Nice That invites someone from the creative industry to share with them what book they turn to in need of inspiration or reference, but condensed down, to five titles and the stories behind them. Lovely idea: It’s Nice That / Bookshelf

Do you think you own many books? Have a look at Karl Lagerfeld`s studio in Paris.
“His books cover every wall of his studio from the ground, up two stories, to the skylights. Plus he owns the bookstore that is right next door.”

Circular Library Lets You Roll Your Books Home:Bookworms know that it isn’t easy to live a mobile life with a massive book collection. If you’re not quite ready to donate excess texts or replace them with electronic versions, David Garcia Studio offers an innovative solution: Archive II, a circular bookshelf propelled by walking that is currently on exhibition at Denmark’s University of Roskilde Main Library.

The Swollen wall by Paul Coudamy
This bookshelf’s home is an apartment in Paris and was designed by Paul Coudamy.
“From floor to top, the shelf is directed by a 20×20cm squared grid. This grid is defined by the pocket book format and is flexible enough to enlarge for bigger formats or objects. You can therefore find room for speakers, umbrellas, A4 files, vases, etc. Closed storage blocks are extruded from these cells offering a mini bar, a dressing, devices storage and so on.” (via)
